The next 7 in September will begin the "XIII Days of Guitar City of Dénia", a cultural event promoted and organized by the association Nova Companyia de Guitarra, in close collaboration with the Department of Culture of the city of Denia.
On the first day of these conferences, the Dianense musician, Andrés Crespo Rodríguez, will be awarded in recognition of the work of dissemination, teaching and interpretation of musicians from the Marina Alta. An artist who from a very young age had music as a hobby and who, according to Pepe Ortolá, artistic director of the association, “A musician who has made music a way of life".
Crespo is a musician from Denia who began his career with the "Merry Boys", A mythical set of years 60, going through"The Talpies", the "Cresma"And the trio"The Palmares". At present it continues with the "Rondalla Vent, Pols, i Pua"And in the Coral of the Home of the Retired of Dénia.
Andrés Crespo will receive the figure of forge created by the artists Federico and Jaime Cuello, before the concert that the Nova Companyia de Guitarres takes place.

Thursday September 7
Concert of the Nova Companyia de Guitarres, With a musical repertoire of the years 60, 70 and 80, with voice of the singer Cristina Sabater. The price of the ticket is 10 euros and includes the delivery of a CD of the grouping.
Friday September 8
Concert Toni Cotolí, Valencian guitarist with extensive international experience and habitual collaborator of renowned musicians such as Celia Mur, Javier Zamora and Andrés Belmonte. He has received several awards and has published 5 CD.
In the first part, of classic style, will also act with cello Gloria Aleza, cellist who has been part of the Valencia Symphony Orchestra or Albacete, among other cameras. The second part will be performed by flamenco music and dance, by the Guitars of the Mediterranean ensemble. Irene de la Rosa, a classical and flamenco dancer, will accompany the music during the concerts.
Saturday September 9
Concert Rosario Solano, Will play fado classics with his characteristic Andalucian jondo style. Joining her will be the Sevillian guitarist, Manuel Imán, performer, arranger and producer with 5 CD in the market and participation in various groups such as "The Prodigious Decade".
All concerts will start at 20.30 hours. Tickets can be purchased at the Social Center box office one hour before each performance. The price of the ticket is 12 euros on 8 and 9 days of September. In addition, a subscription of 30 euros for the whole program is made available to the public.
During the presentation of these days, the mayor of Culture, Rafa Carrió, Has highlighted the importance of having a grouping like the Companyia de Guitarres in Denia that "every year, he strives to combine trajectory and quality in a project that further expands the musical and cultural offer of the municipality". In this sense, Carrió thanked the work of the group and congratulated the winner of this edition.
