Students of the Marist school participate in a week of language immersion in Ireland

A total of 26 students and three teachers of the Maristas de Dénia school have participated in a language immersion program in the Irish city of Kilkenny, which for a week has allowed them to better understand the language and customs of the country.

Students and teachers have lived with Irish families and attended English classes in the morning to improve their language level in the foreign language. In the afternoons, the group has enjoyed a program of activities and visits combining leisure and culture.

Thanks to the accommodation with Irish families, the participants were able to check the hospitality of the inhabitants of the area, who are joined by many things despite the cultural differences between the two countries.

This immersion is another step for the center in its commitment to multilingualism, a received accreditation that has allowed quality teaching in English. In addition to teaching different subjects in this language, they have a native teacher who works as a conversation assistant from early childhood to the last year of compulsory secondary education.
