The Department of Environment has conducted a total of 40 activities this year in its environmental education program, which 5.316 people have participated.
In the section on offer to educational centers, Environment has developed in the schools of Dénia a total of 16 environmental education programs during the school periods from January to June and from October to December.
A total of 4.369 students in Early Childhood Education, Primary, Secondary and Vocational Training have carried out a wide range of activities, in line with the guidelines of the White Paper on Environmental Education in Spain.
Among them, the report of the Department of the Environment lists the dune plantations, the workshops on domestic waste separation, the guided itinerary through the Mediterranean garden of L'Albarda, the sustainable mobility workshop or the itineraries on foot and by bicycle through the greenway.
Excursions program family has scheduled eight starts this year by the different landscapes of Denia and neighboring towns, with the participation of 193 people.
In the Aula de Natura (forest house of the IRYDA) was carried out, between the 15 of July and the 8 of August, the activity Discover the landscapes of Dénia, in which 488 participants enjoyed the nine departures scheduled at the last minute of afternoon or evening. Along with these excursions, astronomical nocturnal observation activities and a guided boat trip through the marine reserve were carried out.
Also, the Aula de Natura has been used by various local entities to carry out activities. Creama Dénia, monitor the course of time; the Association of Housewives, a day of living; summer school of the church of San Miguel, Amadem with its Solidarity March and family life journey of Red Cross Dénia.
Another of the annual activities of the Department of Environment is Ecodénia their participation in the fair, which this year collaborated installing two information booths on the management process plant waste in the composting plant and mobile ecopark.
The Department of the Environment publicly thanks the collaboration of different entities in the aforementioned activities: Montgó Natural Park, Dénia Educational Centers, Dénia Red Cross, Fundem, Mundo Marino, Astronomical Association Marina Alta, Department of Parks and Gardens, APAD Dénia, Ministry of the Environment, URBASER, owners of monumental trees on private farms, AMADEM, Housewives Association, Creama and the San Miguel Play Center.
