35 young people are trained in the 'XIX Training Course for Moped Drivers' in Dénia

This morning the XIX edition of the Training Course for Moped Drivers organized by the Dénia Local Police Department of Road Education and coordinated by agent Manuel Moreno Mas and officer Juan José Bordes Vidal.

From July 15 to August 5, 35 young people between 14 and 16 years old will receive theoretical training at the House of Culture, which they will combine with practical classes offered by the driving schools Marquesado, Guillem, Montgó, Juanvi, Más Fácil, V de Victoria and Poveda, who collaborate in the course.

Among the blocks that students will study, within the driver's manual, content such as the documentation of both the moped and its driver, the type of roads and their characteristics, traffic signals, basic maneuvers, speed, moped mechanics, stand out. , behavior in adverse conditions and in the face of traffic accidents, drugs and alcohol.

Monitors from the Dénia Red Cross Local Assembly will participate in a theoretical first aid practical session. As in previous editions, Salvador Climent Olmedo, from the ASPAYM spinal cord injury association, will teach a special class within the awareness program. And Juan José Sala Soler, technician of the Dénia Community Prevention of Addictive Behavior Unit (UPCCA), will also teach a class on the effects of alcohol, drugs and medications on driving and its prevention, as well as addiction to telephone use mobile.

The Etrasa publishing house and the DGT also collaborate in the course, providing didactic material; the NZI helmet factory, in Yecla (Murcia), with various materials and the delivery of a full-face helmet to be raffled on the day of the closing of the course and the Motos Quirro workshop, which delivers material and a full-face helmet for students and recognitions for the speakers.

The first exam is scheduled for mid-August.
