Going back to the origins: handicrafts and century-old beer

05 December 2013 - 00: 00

Currently, there is a cultural and even ideological current that seeks to return to the origins, to the purest and deepest-rooted traditions of the Marina Alta, forgotten or set aside for a long time because of the advances we have been experiencing in the last 50 years.

I undoubtedly refer to the process of making many of our more traditional products such as raisins, classic fishing with "llaúd" or homemade cocas in stone ovens like those in any small aunt grandmother's house that we remember.

As part of this eagerness to recover the old traditions and "know-how" of grandparents and vis-grandparents, is that this week has been organized in Dénia the days of "Arròs a Banda"or as the creation and commercialization of traditional beers Tyris and Riu Rau.

Craft beers from the Marina Alta Riu Rau and Tyris in Tapes del Port

Traditional beers

Riu Rau beer is the "authentic beer of the Marina Alta" as its own manufacturers define it. It is a beer that is made as it was many generations ago.

Along with the traditional Riu Rau beer is Tyris beer, another traditional "blonde" with special flavor and texture, unmatched and that, surely, you have not tried before.

Both the Tyris beer and the craft beer of the Marina Alta, Riu Rau can be found in Tapes of the Port and during this Thursday 5 of December and next Thursday 19 of December go to taste one of these beers and accompany them for a tapa also artisan.
