Toni Sarch with his boat “Tonet” was the winner of the fishing competition 'Sepiamor 2017'

The fisherman, Toni Sarch, once again demonstrated his skill and good work when fishing, as he was the winner of the fishing contest "Sepiamor 217", Organized by the Real Club Nautico Denia.

Sarch, skipper of the ship "Tonet"Achieved the first position thanks to the catches that all weighed 5,615 kg, a catches of cuttlefish greater than what he got in the last edition, which were 4,120 kg, with which he won the 2016.

The ship "Gabatxet"David Branchu achieved the second position with a total of 4,725kg of cuttlefish and the boat"Nerissa"Juan José Lidón took the third with 3,105kg of cuttlefish. The winner of the largest piece captured was for the boat "Bucaners" by Antonio Signes with a copy of 1,075 grams.

The contest counted with the participation of 23 boats

A total of 23 vessels took the 7 departure in the morning to capture the largest number of cuttlefish and return to port at 13 hours to weigh the catches.

"Sepiamor", Is one of the most specific social contests that the fishing section has in which the only fishing species that enters the contest is the cuttlefish and later a large part of the catches are cooked for a great appetizer.

All the participants, at 14 hours, met at the celebration that took place at the Carpa del Real Club Náutico Dénia with the presentation of trophies to the winners. Jaime Portolés, club president; Juan M. Riera, Vice President, Nicolás Candela and Miguel Marsal, members of the board and José Lidón, fishing officer were in charge of delivering each of the winners their prizes. A check of a seafood platter at the expense of restaurant Balandros, sponsor of the contest, which will be held next weekend as the final finale of the sport fishing calendar.
