Those who have walked this morning from the port of Dénia have been surprised by twelve figures of brown and red iron that have been spread along the harbor, between the fish market and the new location of hippies.
It is the creation of artist Rafael Beniarbeig Carrio, who has brought so ephemeral sculptures to Dénia for a photo shoot. The artist has chosen the port city to frame snapshots of his sculptures, which for a few hours have been part of the landscape of the seafront of the city of Denia.
Dénia already has some sculptures by the artist Rafael Carrió, such as decorating the exterior architectural Pepe Cabrera, at the entrance of the city, or prevailing at the roundabout between Ramón Ortega Avenue and José Moncho Ferrer . In addition his work could be seen in 2014 in the Center d'Art L'Estacio Denia following the publication in 2012, in his book Anthology, with the collaboration of the City of Dénia.
