Compromís It held a local Assembly last night that unanimously approved renewing its Executive, with the election of Sergi Alemany as the new secretary and spokesperson. As stated by the new organic leader, "I am accompanied by a team that mixes youth and experience and that will continue working from the basis of dialogue, from the bottom up, and with two clear objectives: to continue adding, and to guarantee political Valencianism in the City Council." ».
Alemany is 23 years old, he has a degree in Management and Public Administration, and a Master in Administrative Management. He currently works as a technician in a City Council in the region and has both administrative and political experience, having worked in several city councils, in the Generalitat, in private companies, and as secretary of a municipal political group and local secretary of Joves-PV. He has been part of two lists in the municipal elections (2019 and 2023) and, in addition, he will be in charge of a political presentation at the next National Congress of Más-Compromís.
During his speech, he thanked the work of the previous local secretary, Agustí Espí, who took stock of his work these four years. "Despite the difficulties of having worked in the opposition in the City Council, we have improved results and we have managed to govern, we have added people to the project and we have increased the cultural, communicative and participatory policy of the party," summarized the previous secretary.
Espí will continue working for the group within the executive, but from the Organization Secretariat. Along with him, Miquel Pastor also continues in Organization; Toni Cuartero as Secretary of Finance; Vicent Crespo, Malena Cremades and Antanas Raugala will be in the Social Action secretariat; Pau Nofuentes in Implementation; Safir Malonda in Institutional Relations; and Maria Romany in Communication. As is usual in Compromís, the three councilors in the City Council Rafa Carrió, maria jose garcia and Valentí Alcalà will be members but will not be part of the executive "to differentiate organic positions from institutional positions, although communication with them will be constant."
The spokesperson for the municipal group and councilor in the City Council, Rafa Carrió, highlighted yesterday the work carried out by the previous secretary, Agustí Espí, thanking "his constant involvement, his support and the value he has had at all times and without which we would not be where we are".
He also had words of gratitude towards Alemany for taking charge of the party, saying of him that “he is a very brave young man with a lot of projection within the party. Despite being so young, he has a lot of desire, experience and talent. We are sure that he will play an exemplary role.
Finally, Alemany concluded the assembly by thanking all the support received and adding that "we will work with great enthusiasm from the party as a group accessible to the citizens and associations of Dénia; and as a young and plural political formation of reference, representing all those who are, were and will be.
