Katrin Rhode lived in a village in northern Germany, where he ran a bookshop. In 1996 he traveled to Burkina Faso and since then everything changed: he sold his belongings, left everything and moved to Ouagadougou, capital of Burkina Faso, to help street children.

Katrin Rohode is also president of the Managré Nooma Association pour la Potection des Orphelins (AMPO), an organization that welcomes children and teenagers on the street.

This afternoon, Katrin will be in Dénia thanks to the NGO Visió Sense Fronteres, with whom he will hold a conference to present his book "Mama Tenga", Motherland, The nickname by which he is affectionately known in Ouagadougou, where he narrates his experience over the years in the African country. It will be at 20 hours in the Municipal House of Culture.
