The Ministry of Universal Health and Public Health has updated the information on the incidence of coronavirus in the Valencian Community. There have been a total of 5.388 discharges (377 since the update this Wednesday): 638 in the province of Castellón, 1.983 in the province of Alicante and 2.767 in the province of Valencia.
In addition, 164 new positive cases have been detected, bringing the total of positive cases to 10.735, of which 4.215 are currently active. Of the total, 918 are admitted to the hospital and 179 of them are in the ICU.
Of the 164 new positive cases, 14 are in the province of Castellón, 34 in that of Alicante and 116 in that of Valencia.
By provinces, the total number of positive cases is 1.401 in the province of Castellón, 612 active (109 hospitalized, 21 of them in the ICU), 3.666 in the province of Alicante, 1.259 active (221 hospitalized and 72 of them in the ICU), and 5.668 in the province of Valencia, 2.344 assets (588 hospitalized and 86 of them in the ICU).
The number of Healthcare professionals who have tested positive in total is 1.692, 630 active at this time (75 in the province of Castellón, 168 in that of Alicante and 387 in the province of Valencia). 1.062 people have already been registered.
To date, there have been a total of 1.132 deaths in the Valencian Community: 151 in the province of Castellón, 424 in Alicante and 557 in that of Valencia.
The tests that have given a negative result so far are 83.792 (70.081 through PCR and 13.711 through rapid tests).
Updating the situation in residences
There are currently positive cases in 93 centers (18 in the province of Castellón, 15 in the province of Alicante and 60 in the province of Valencia).
· Residents who have tested positive: 1.671
· Hard-working staff who have tested positive: 493
· Residents who have died: 394
Currently, 33 residences in the Valencian Community are under active sanitary control surveillance:
· 9 in the province of Castellón: 1 in the department of Vinarós, 4 in the department of the General Hospital of Castelló and 3 in the department of La Plana. The ninth residence belongs to the department of Sagunto, although it is located in a municipality in the province of Castellón.
· 9 in the province of Alicante: 2 in the department of Alcoi, 1 in the department of La Marina Baixa, 2 in the department of Sant Joan, 2 in the department of Elda and 2 in the department of Alicante-General Hospital.
· 15 in the province of Valencia: 1 in the department of Sagunto, 2 in the department of Clínico-Malvarrosa, 4 in the department of La Fe, 5 in the department of Requena, 1 in the department of the General Hospital of Valencia, 1 in the department of La Ribera and 1 in the department of Xàtiva-Ontinyent.
