The Amunt Contra el Cancer association is preparing to celebrate the sixth edition of its emblematic Solidarity Walk Against Cancer in Dénia. The event is scheduled for Sunday, April 14. According to the association, in the event of adverse weather conditions, the appointment would be moved to Sunday, April 21.
The starting point will be at 10: 00 hours in the parking lot of Marina de Denia, with a Zumba session led by Miguel, teacher at GYM21. At 10:30 a.m., participants will begin the walk to the end of Les Rotes, where family sports practice, the acquisition of healthy habits, and the exchange of values and attitudes will be encouraged.
The event will be enlivened by the Ondarattack batucada, something that, according to Amunt, will combine "health, coexistence, solidarity and music." The funds raised through donations of 5 euros from registration will go to cancer research, in an effort to contribute to the fight against this disease.
All interested people, regardless of age, are invited to join the cause. To guarantee the safety of the participants, the circuit will be controlled by the Dénia Local Police, Civil Protection volunteers and the ambulance service.
The t-shirts for the event will be available at the association headquarters at 13 Campo Torres Street, starting March 11, from Monday to Friday, from 11:00 a.m. to 13:00 p.m. and from 17:00 p.m. to 19:00 p.m.
Under the motto "If You Walk in Company You Will Go Further", Amunt against Cancer calls on citizens to join this important initiative of solidarity and awareness.
