Members of the Rotary Club Dénia participated last October on 24 in an action to publicize the campaign that currently focuses the efforts of the Rotary club internationally on the fight against polio, a disease that, although in Spain and in the largest part of the world is already eradicated, continues to end the lives of people in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Nigeria.
Therefore, several members of the club set up a booth at the flea market Dénia from which the population was informed of the actions being undertaken to alleviate this disease in the world. Visitors to the stand received informative brochures and sweets as a thank you for your interest in the campaign and to commemorate the centenary of the Rotary Foundation celebrated this year.
End Polio Now is the name of the campaign through which Rotary International and all the clubs that comprise it are making a great economic investment and a great personal effort to eradicate polio.
