Last Sunday the Regional Cross Country Championship was held in Sagunto where some athletes from the C.A. participated. Balearia Diánium. It is worth highlighting the runner-up position achieved by Joan Buigues García in the men's U16 category, after demonstrating a high level against the best regional athletes.
This performance will surely earn Juan his selection for the Spanish Cross Country Championship by Autonomous Federations, although we will have to wait for the official lists of those selected.
This championship will take place in Getafe on January 27. Joan will be accompanied, if all goes well, by Sofía Martínez Bertomeu, who in the female U20 category achieved 4th place, showing that she is in great shape after the marks she achieved on the track.
Also participating in Sagunto: Marco García Torres who finished 12th in the U18 men's category, Ricard Pérez Miró who was 21st in the U16 men's category and Emi López Abad who finished 8th in the Senior women's category.
Provincial team championship
The absolute teams of C.A. Baleària Diànium have started 2024 competing at a high level. Last Saturday the Absolute Provincial Team Championship took place in Elche where the men's and women's teams from Dénia participated. The young Dianense athletes took the podium in the men's category.
The men's team was third provincially and the women's team was fourth provincially. In addition, many personal bests were achieved.
It is worth highlighting the first positions of Marta Pérez in 3000m, Damià Puigcerver in 200m, the men's 4x400 relay and the second positions of Carlos González and María Berruti in 400m.
Five podiums in the Provincial Combined Events Championship
Last weekend the Provincial Championship of Combined Sub14 and Sub16 Events was held on the Petrer athletics track with the participation of 40 athletes from the E.M.A. from Denia - C.A. Balearia Diánium. It is worth highlighting the triplet achieved in the U14 men's category with gold from Savelii Bogatov, silver from Daniel Reig and bronze from Léo Baeza. Also on the podium were Pau Jagersma as runner-up in the U16 men's category and Yaiza Benítez as third place in the U16 women's category.
It should be noted that the club was the one that contributed the most participants to the competition.
