After the 40 years have passed the story of the Club Ciclista Dénia It has undergone a drastic change. His directive where men like Miguel Sivera, president in two stages, Vicente Mocholí, Pepe Pastor and Tino Sánchez, has opted to give the relief to a new generation of leaders and athletes. For this they prepared the transfer of powers in an intimate dinner.

The last act chaired by Miguel Sivera served to pay tribute to those board members who have accompanied him for so many years. People who have always had by their side and the best way to thank for the services provided was delivering these people the medal of the Dénia Cycling Club.

Cycling lovers who have always been next to Sivera in a totally altruistic way and who were honored were; Vicente Correcher, Javi García, José Manuel Llorca, Pedro Puigcerver and Pepe Ivars. The only absentee in the act for work reasons was Pedro Puigcerver. Miguel Sivera was in charge of imposing the logo of the club on the lapel, as well as having words of thanks to all of them.

Fresh air comes to the club

For six years, the club opened a new window in its structure integrating a group of cyclists of the modality of BTT, David Gadea, Vicent Gil, Abraham Collado, among others, forming an autonomous section, known in the cycling world as "La Cava" During all these years, these cyclists have been competing in various marches and competitions, achieving notable successes.

Precisely this group of people are those who have taken over from the previous directive. Miguel Sivera was in charge of realizing the transfer of powers, to the new president, David Gadea. Together with the new directive form, José Antonio Vicente, vice president, Vicent Gil, secretary, Abraham Collado, Treasurer, José Catalá, vocal.

Gadea in his first speech as head of the club had words of thanks for his predecessors, who one day asked for help and welcomed them as some more in the club. He indicated that they will try to do a job looking at the mirror that this group had left.

From now on, the activity within the club will focus on the presence of BTT races, organization of social events with children, in the style of "Bicycle Day", and as the only road race they will organize the race of the Holy Sang. That is to say that one of the great novelties is that Dénia, who was one of the founders in Circuit Marina Alta, this edition will not participate in it.
