The councilor for sports in Dénia, Marián Tamarit, announced that soon the works of the change of the tartan of the athletics track of the municipal sports center will begin.
Balance of the year 2017

The boiler of Joan Fuster pavilion that has had problems, will be solved, now, after the works that have been made on the roof of the installation. It has been used to put solar panels that guarantee hot water since with the current boiler this was insufficient.
Change of tartan and grass of the Rodat field
Looking ahead to the new year, Marián Tamarit pointed out that, "Soon the works of the change of tartan of the athletics track of the municipal sports center will begin. The current state of the track is unfortunate and this is a demand that dates back a long time".
Another work of important improvement that will be carried out during the 2018, is the change of the artificial grass of the Rodat field. A surface that is quite deteriorated and that needs that change since there are many users of that field. For the time being, it will be Rodat's, although the mayor himself recognizes that Field Diego MenaIt is quite bad and needs a change.
Through the money that arrives from the Plan Confianza, the electrical installation of the Dénia municipal pavilion will be changed, a work that is very much in demand by users and the general public. The current lighting is totally insufficient at the same time as its daily cost, since practically the lights are on throughout the day.
The Sports Gala returns
Another of the objectives that have been marked by the Department of Sports is the recovery of the Annual Sports Gala, an event where from the consistory paid tribute to athletes, clubs or entities directly linked to sport, highlights of the year.
In the last legislature under the mandate of the Party it was decided to suspend this act. Now, Marián Tamarit announces that it will be held again and gave the date of February 16. In fact, the Sports Council is working on its organization.
2.500 scholarships euros
Thinking about the young athletes, the mayor of sports, said that his intention is to create four scholarships of a value of 2.500 euros, aimed at those top athletes so that with this help they can continue to progress in their career.
