Yes ... you read that right ... Chapter 1 because I think that regarding the construction and remodeling of the new school of La Xara, unfortunately, there will be more than one chapter, like a television soap opera we spoke.
After 6 years in prefabricated classrooms, after a lot of waiting for a site that was disaffected with mortgages, after seeing how the corporations that passed through the town halls of both La Xara and Dénia were unable to do a necessary maintenance in any educational center so that I was in conditions, I proposed that, as councilor of education, the issue of the school of the Xara had to solve it yes or yes. There were many meetings to several bands: school management, Ampa, territorial education management, regional secretary ... and I managed to involve everyone in a project that had to have seen the light before finishing this last summer.
I'll just put a little background to understand this issue and why it took so long ...
The initial project was the renovation of the old building, but both the mayor and the school board thought it was very fair to accommodate all students, there would be room for music classrooms and computer that would have to be in "barracks". They were willing to wait and invest money "Trust Plan" that corresponded to the EATIM in order to expand the school within the grounds already had. He turned to redo the project all the time bureaucracy that entails.
When he was done, he had to change it again as the economic cost of the construction of the new pavilion exceeded the amount allocated by the Trust Plan and would not let them get away or € 1. projects were changed ... with this money remodeling the old building whose cost was less would be, and the Department (territorial division) would pay the full construction of the new pavilion. With all this, we February 2015 and, once approved basic projects, and later the technical project, there was only publication in the DOCV to start bidding and subsequent competition of companies for construction of the new pavilion, which more it would take time. Meanwhile he finished outlining the remodeling project with confidence to begin work plan that would not take more than 4-5 months and to link them with the completion of construction of the new pavilion.
But came the elections and as always, political change, everything slows down to new outlets and remodeling departments possessions and where once said "say" now I say "diego". It is now very difficult to separate the two projects and the Department decides to take care of the whole project ... 'BIENNNNN !!. And in this city, to my question of how will the issue, Mr. Mayor informs us a surprise they will make the sports hall ... !! BIENNNNNN !! .
But make no mistake, after the initial joy, we will see that everything slows down again ... change projects and rides from one table to another relevant technical ... and the children of La Xara remain in "barracks" and looking at sky and praying not to get the "cold drop".
All this, believe me, I would be wrong, yes, I say wrong, because it is not a political success hitting with this I tell you, because here only the welfare of the more than 145 children who will occupy one day a decent school and as God commands . So, if the project starts imminently as the mayor says, I'll be the first to congratulate and cheer at last.
Leave for another chapter Mr. Grimalt response in terms of loss of money Plan Trust (280.000 €) that EATIM of Xara earmarked for this purpose, thereby giving others no less necessary projects for them in a courageous act and solidarity with their children.
