The new Day Center of La Xara users will seat 20

The CEO of functional diversity of the Generalitat Valenciana, Antonio Raya, visited on Tuesday the construction of the center, which will eventually have capacity to twenty users. This news caught by surprise Aprosdeco members, an organization that currently manages the Occupational Center of La Xara. Since the association had the new center would serve 40 people, twice the now announces the Generalitat.

The general director explained that with twenty users quality care can be guaranteed, and that this figure responds to the current needs of the region of the Marina Alta based on existing waiting lists at this time. The president of Aprosdeco, Ana María Vadillo, does not think the same, stating that the current demand is much higher. In fact, according to Vadillo, only with the users of the Occupational Center that will go to the Day Center, half of the necessary places are already taken.

During the visit they have found that there would be the possibility of expanding the facilities if necessary, although the major drawback lie in order to guarantee the personnel and equipment necessary to meet 40 people.

Same association manage both centers

The CEO also explained that the creation of the new Day Center seeks to be a single entity that manages both new installations and Occupational Center of La Xara, since they will have shared areas. That is why the granting of both efforts will open at the same time to give granting the same entity.

Squares in the county increased by 60%

Following a meeting at City Hall with the Mayor of Dénia, Vicent GrimaltAnd the Councilor for Social Welfare, Cristina Morera, Antonio Raya was pleased that, since the arrival of the new team to the Generalitat a year and a half ago, the places of attention to people with functional diversity have increased an 60%.

At the end of the year, the Marina Alta will have 160 service places subsidized by the Generalitat Valenciana, among which are the places of the sheltered housing, the users of the new Day Center, the new places of the Early Care Center and the Calp Day Center.
