New edition of the Parent School on Addiction Prevention

The Department of Social Welfare of the City of Dénia has prepared the thirteenth edition of the School of Parents for Addiction Prevention so successful has reaped in other years.

The course will be held in five consecutive sessions, on Mondays 23 and 30 January 6, 13 and 20 February, two hours each (from 19 to 21 hours) and will be held at the premises of IES Historian chabas of Dénia.

The doctor Addictive Behavior Unit (UCA) Denia Carmen Romero will be responsible for delivering the first lecture, which will focus on drug dependency, classification and effects of drugs. Inma Camacho psychology speak at the second session of the reasons and risks of consumption, family education and the rules and limits in relation to children. Encarna Caceres, Technical Unit Community Prevention in Addictive Behaviors (UPCCA) Denia speak on February 6 on the characteristics of adolescence and how to respond to the detection of drug use in our children. The February 13 psychologist Carlos Torres will speak about social communication skills of parents to their children. The last lecture will be February 20 with Clara Ferrer, a psychologist at UPCCA of Dénia, on communication skills and preventive counseling for parents.
