International historical motorcycles in the traditional Classic Racing Revival of Dénia

17 September 2018 - 16: 52

The city of Dénia was the scene, last weekend, of one of the most anticipated events for lovers of the motor in general and motorcycles in particular. Defying the weather, finally the Classic Racing Revival of Dénia that organizes the Classic Motor Club of Dénia with the support of the councils of Tourism and Sports could celebrate its 24º edition with total normality.

This edition has been dedicated to the 50 anniversary of the first Spanish victory in a scoring Grand Prix (Montjuïc 1968-2018) and therefore it was planned to pay a tribute to the pilots of Bultaco Salvador Cañellas and Ramiro Blanco. Cañellas was the one who got the victory with a Bultaco TSS 125 in 1968 and Ramiro Blanco was proclaimed champion of Spain in 1962 and 1966 in 125 and 250 cubic centimeters.

The program of the festival began on Saturday 15 of September, with a sample-exhibition of spare parts of old motorcycles in the Calle Marques de Campo, who visited the mayor, Vicent Grimalt and the Councilor for Sports, Vicent Crespo. Yesterday, Sunday, an urban circuit with old motorcycles was carried out in the area surrounding IES number 3.
