The wine produced in the region of the Marina Alta is living a great moment. Society is increasingly aware of its importance and is committed to consuming this juice over other denominations, but this is only the beginning of a long road ahead that will end up placing Marina wines in the place where they belong.
For this is very important the union of producers, associations and municipal and county entities, which together can achieve the objective. The first step was in Ondara last week, where they all debated the contents that will guide the III Fira Marina High amb els 5 sentits: L'aroma, els nostres vins. An event that will take place the next 11 and 12 of November in the Meadow of Ondara and that pretends to be a showcase of all the wines that take place in Marina Alta.
The base points of this fair will be the social awareness of the Marina Alta wine as a cultural phenomenon, the commitment to prestige the regional denomination and the promotion of consumption and internal distribution, as explained by the manager of the Macma, Jovi Lozano, during the meeting.
A manifesto for wine and tastings during the fair
For the opening of the meeting to be held in November, it is planned to read and sign a Manifesto for Wine that will be the document from which to build a campaign for the dissemination of the wines of the Marina Alta. A purpose that will be reflected in the eight wine tastings scheduled for the weekend: on the one hand, on Saturday 11 in the afternoon, from 18: 00 hours, will be developed tastings dedicated to muscat, wines red wines (19.00 hours) and sweet wines (20.00 hours).
This block will be repeated the following Sunday morning with a following shift dedicated to muscatel (11: 00 hours) and red wines (12: 00 hours) while a vermouth tasting will close the morning session at 13.00 hours. On Sunday afternoon, at 17: 30 hours, there will be a tasting dedicated to pinks and sweets, and then a sparkling tasting will close the tasting schedule.
From the organization of the Fira they remember that the inscription is free and limited to one tasting per person - except the restaurateurs - and that the places can be reserved to the mail comunicacio@macma.org or in the Facebook of the Macma (Mancomunitat Cultural de la Marina High).
Exhibitors
In the fair will participate the Offices and municipal departments of Tourism, as representatives of the towns of the region, while the central part of Prado will be a showcase of the producers of Marina, whose references can be acquired in each stand.
Attending Bodegas Fondarium, Joan de la Casa, Teulada-Cooperativa Agrícola San Vicente Ferrer, Briga de Xoc, Essences of Muscat, Les Freses de Jesus Pobre, Gutiérrez de la Vega, Bodegas Parcent, Bodegas Xaló, Biomoscatell and Antonio Llobell.
On the other hand, the presence of the associations of the guild will be highlighted: Associació del Moscatell de la Marina Alta, Bancals de Vi and Vins Singulars and Poble de la Marina Alta, all of them entities that work for the transversal claim of the vitivinícola fact.
