More than 370 children participate in social skills workshop for addiction prevention

A total of 373 children 6º elementary schools in Denia, La Xara and Jesus Pobre have participated in the second part of the workshop Social skills organized by the Department of Social Welfare from the area of ​​Addiction Prevention. The sessions have been developed in classrooms of the nine participating schools, from the 31 from March to the 4 from April.

Workshop Objectives

The objective of the workshop has been to promote, improve and develop the competence, abilities and social skills of the 6º Primary students to learn to relate, self-assert themselves and face the influences and pressures of the group, know how to take autonomous and responsible decisions , as well as maintaining positive activities towards health, making use of free time to serve activities and relationships of growth and personal and social enrichment.

The workshops are taught to school at this age, 9-10 years, because they are in a phase of pre-adolescence, subject to a major change in their life process and about to start in secondary education and join the institute, where they will be subject to new friends, influences and pressures.
