Faithful to his appointment how every two years, the most awaited appointment by the young athletes of the region of the Marina Alta, the "Mini Jocs Olímpics de la Marina Alta". In this eleventh edition the dates of its celebration are May 15, 16 and 17 at the facilities of the Dénia municipal sports center. A date that was agreed this week by the members of the board of directors of the Marina Alta Sports Consortium and the different political representatives of the region.
This sporting event held biennially and this year celebrates twenty years after its first edition, which has served to establish itself as the showpiece at the school level that all those held in the Marina Alta region.
This edition will bring together more than two thousand two hundred participants belonging to 23 populations throughout the region, and it is estimated that close to 9.000 people will closely follow this event. The competition has a wide variety of sporting activities that include such popular sports as basketball, swimming, tennis, rhythmic gymnastics among many others.
The official presentation of the Mini Olympic Jocs be held next March, and will be when the route that the Olympic torch made by all participating locations is announced.
