Socialists call for a master plan of Port Denia

August 13 from 2013 - 00: 00

The socialist councilor in the City of Denia, Paco Roselló, has once again insisted on the need for Dénia to have a Port Master Plan "that clarifies and specifies what activities can and cannot be carried out in the port infrastructure." And it is that, according to Roselló, the Plan of Use of port spaces of the port of Dénia approved in 2007 does not develop the detailed activities that can be carried out in this infrastructure.

According to Rossello, several actions were carried out in the port of Denia without there being any strategic planning in the port as building a pay parking in Mollet d'Espanya or reducing the space for fishing boats city.

Loss of subsidy for the rehabilitation of the Lonja

Jordi SerraFor his part, he recalled that Dénia had to return the subsidy from the Employment Plan for the rehabilitation of the former Lonja. According to the Socialist, the Generalitat did not give permission to rehabilitate the port fish market until one month before the end of 2012 employment workshop ended. Although the theoretical part was carried out with total normality, the practical part could not be carried out because it lacked such permission.

The Socialist councilor believes that this mismanagement has caused the employment workshop finalize without that could perform all the tasks of planned rehabilitation and the Lonja del Puerto continue to provide the unwelcome image today, despite having a final draft by an external professional, and for which the City has paid about 70.000 euros.
