El PSPV-PSOE A medium-term objective has been set for Dénia to have a university campus similar to those already existing in municipalities such as Alcoy or Gandía. This morning, the current mayor and candidate for reelection, Vicent Grimatl, has assured that they already have the commitment of the President of the Generalitat, Ximo Puig, y el interés y apoyo del rector de la Universitat d’Alacant, Manuel Palomar.

Grimalt ha reconocido que «la comarca de la Marina Alta necesita tener una oferta universitaria en Dénia».
