The best national and international riders saw their faces in the Autumn MET

Autumn MET 2019 ends after the last three weeks of MET II competition at the Equestrian Center facilities Olive nova, which each year attracts more riders from all over the world. 

During the Autumn MET, the Equestrian Center has received about a thousand horses per week, and around 650 riders from 47 different nationalities. They have passed through the riders facilities in the Top Ten of the world rankings, such as the Englishman Ben Maher, as well as very important riders of the national panorama, members of the national obstacle jumping team - such as Eduardo Álvarez Aznar, Carlos López Fanjul, Santiago Núñez Riva, or Alberto Márquez Galobardes, among others. 

The Autumn MET II - held between the days 29 in October and 17 in November - has had € 426.400 in prizes, distributed between the three weeks of competition. 9 qualifying events have also been held for the Longines Ranking - among them - the CSI3 * GP of this November 17 Sunday, in which € 50.200 has been distributed in prizes.

Outstanding Spanish representation in the CSI3 Grand Prix *, the most important test of this Autumn MET II, ​​thanks to a magnificent third place of Santiago Núñez Riva with his magnificent Valentino de Hus Z, and a brilliant journey without fail of Alberto Márquez Galobardes.

This last stage of the Autumn MET 2019 - MET II concludes, which so many riders have chosen to end the 2019 season. Over the past three weeks, the Oliva Nova Equestrian Center hosted the Autumn MET II competitions with the holding of two international jumping competitions of 2 * and one of 3 *, in addition to the CSI YH tests for young horses between 5 and 7 years.
MET II celebrated three great prizes belonging to the Gold Tour. The most important, the CSI3 * GP of this Sunday, November 17. Notable Spanish performance in this grand prize, passing Alberto Márquez Galobardes and Santiago Núñez Riva to the tiebreaker, after two spectacular routes without fail.

It was 16 binomials of the 60 that participated in the tiebreaker. The Spanish rider Santiago Núñez Riva, was spectacular with his Valentino de Hus Z, with whom he also participated in the championship of Absolute Europe this past August. Only a second deprived him of the victory of this GP CSI3 *, finally finishing third. The victory was for the young English rider Harry Charles with Bambina who only took one hundredth of a second to also the English Chad Fellows, with Vinci from Beaufour.

The first week the CSI2 * Grand Prix took place in which € 30.000 in prizes were distributed. 64 pairs took part in this test, of which 18 made it to the tiebreaker, including Spaniard Alberto Márquez Galobardes - but a foul in the tiebreaker deprived him of being among the top five. Finally the triumph went to the unstoppable Frenchman Harold Boisset with T'Oberry Du Domaine. Second was the German Katharina Offel, who has a magnificent career in these facilities. The third place was occupied by the Englishman Mathew Sampson. 

In the second week, the CSI 2 * Gold Tour Grand Prix was also celebrated, this time with an English victory. This Grand Prix had other € 30.000 in prizes and it was 87 binomials that participated in it. 21 binomials finished without faults, being the English rider William Funnell who managed to win the victory. Second was the Frenchman Charles Henri Ferme and thirdly the Dutch rider Mathijs Van Asten finished. 

Young horse finals - The variety of events and their continuity make the MET route an idyllic setting to consolidate young horses and gain experience. Young horse tests are held every week, with their respective finals, ranging from tests for horses of 5 years to 7 years. During MET II - more than 200 young horses competed per week. Ivan Dalton (Irl), Alex Duffy (Irl) and Mario Wilson Fernandes (Por) were the respective winners in the first week of MET II in the 5,6, and 7 year olds. In the second week of Autumn MET II - Irishman Alex Duffy once again consolidated his victory in the 6-year-old event - while English rider Bethanie Knight won the 5-year-old event. A very famous rider for his many victories during this MET II - Frenchman Harold Boisset, was the winner of the 7-year-old event.

Finally, this last Wednesday 13 of November the last finals of young horses of this Autumn Mediterranean Equestrian Tour were celebrated. For the third time in a row, the Irishman Alex Duffy beat the chronos again and achieved that first place in the 6 years test. The Irish Amazon Susan Fitzpatrick was the winner of the 5 years, while the Turkish Omer Karaevli was the winner of the 7 years young horse test - at a height of 1.40m.

As for the Silver Tour - it was the Irishman Michael Duffy the winner of the GP of the first week of MET II. Julien Epaillard - currently the No.26 of the world rankings - was the winner of this GP the second week of the Autumn MET II. The GP of the Silver tour held last Saturday 16 in November had a Spanish presence in the tiebreaker. 18 binomials passed, including Madrid's Diana Marsá with Quidamme - but a demolition in the first obstacle deprived them of fighting for victory. Finally it was Swiss rider Thibaut Keller who got that first place.

The great prizes of the Bronze Tour concluded with the victories of Rikke Belinda Barker (Din), Melanie Lemoine Jondet (Fra) and Claire Beecroft (Gbr), respectively. 

After these magnificent weeks we conclude with the Autumn Mediterranean Equestrian Tour, which is more successful every year, and we continue to grow and improve to prepare for the next season, which will begin on January 14 of 2020 with MET I of the Spring Tour.
