The Cycling Tour of Spain lived one of the great moments of this year's edition on Friday, September 9, with the celebration of the most important time trial in the Marina Alta. Taking advantage of their time in our region, the Movistar, Sky and Tinkoff teams stayed at the Dénia Marriott hotel, a resort specialized in cycling since BMC chose it as their winter headquarters five years ago.
Alberto Contador himself said that "Despite being the toughest, the environment is fantastic".
The passage of the Vuelta through the towns of the Marina Alta has been an additional incentive at the end of the summer season for the food and pharmacy businesses of the region, as well as the obvious international tourist boost.
