The municipality of Pego was the place chosen to celebrate the award ceremony of team sports trophies organized this course by the Consorci Esportiu de la Marina Alta (CEMA).
An event that had the presence of the young teams of the School of the Dénia Básquet, Who collected their trophies. The Benjamin Basketball League which featured 16 participants was organized this season in two phases. The first faced all the teams all against all in one lap. He then separated the participants into three levels according to their position in the final classification of that first part of the year.
The participation of the two teams that represented Denia in this competition has been remarkable, surpassing the first phase the majors in the first position and unbeaten. The smallest of them finished in a surprising ninth position, which led them to fit in the final stretch of the competition in the levels 1 and 2 respectively.
In the final phase the 2008 group led by Paqui Navarro only yielded a defeat that served them in the game of average basket that solved a triple tie to be, champions of Level 2. They have closed an unforgettable year for the whole squad in their first experience away from the School League of Denia.
For his part the team of Bernardo and Bernat Sanz continued their series of games won to reach the mark of 21 games due in a consecutive way. Results that led them to be crowned Benjamin winners of the 1 Level CEMA of the season.
