In an exciting match played last Sunday at the Tio Luis Rugby field of the Dénia Sports Center, the Dénia Barbarians received the Valencians of the UCV, achieving a resounding victory with a final score of 74-5 and thus consolidating their aspirations to access the play-offs.
From the first minutes of the match, the locals demonstrated a solid and effective game, quickly scoring two tries that put them in a dominant position with a 14-0 lead. With outstanding performances from players like Patrick and Elliott, the Barbarians kept the pressure on their opponents throughout the match, steadily extending their lead.
Despite the visiting team's efforts to reverse the situation, the Barbarians maintained absolute control of the match, scoring a total of eight tries throughout the match, while UCV managed to score only one try.
With this overwhelming victory, the Dénia Barbarians practically ensure their participation in the league play-offs, waiting for the last day of the regular phase, which will take place after the break of the Fallas.
In other categories, the club's M16 team traveled to Alicante to face AKRA/Vila, achieving an important 25-32 victory, highlighting Diego's orderly play and effectiveness in his shots.
