Busing companies start strikes today in protest of the debt that the Government has with them

November 26 from 2012 - 00: 00

Since last April busing companies have stopped receiving payments from the Government. Since then, the debt amounts to 36 million euros that make the situation is already untenable.

Therefore, from today they will stop their services on Mondays and Wednesdays, although they will maintain transport services for people with reduced mobility, so the students of the Raquel Payà school will not be affected by this action.

Even so, 300 dianenses students will suffer this measure in the next few days, which is in addition to the cuts that the Government has made in school transportation aid and has left many students without the possibility of going to school by bus.

The Socialist Group in the city of Denia present a motion to the next plenary session to be held on Thursday, which require the Generalitat "That the debt he owes to the school transport companies since April 2012 be settled, in order to guarantee the service to the students who use the school transport to go to their study centers".
