The 16 proposals to improve Dénia with the 400.000 euros of Participatory Budgets

04 December 2023 - 13: 16

From now on until the December 20, the residents of Dénia have the opportunity to vote for the initiatives that they consider to be priorities to improve the city, as part of the call for the seventh edition of the Participatory Budgets.

The proposals, previously presented by citizens and validated by municipal technical personnel, have the necessary technical and economic feasibility, aligning with local needs and regulations.

With a total of 400.000 euros allocated to the Participatory Budgets, they will be allocated 100.000 euros for projects aimed at older people, children and adolescents. An intergenerational commission, made up of members of the Seniors, Neighborhood Participation and Childhood and Adolescence councils, will agree on which proposals deserve to be implemented based on their direct benefit for these groups.

The remaining 300.000 euros will be allocated according to the votes of citizens, allowing them to directly influence the allocation of a part of the municipal budget through this process of participatory democracy.

Some roundabouts need to be made, according to the national idea of the famous former president Zapatero.

  2. Fortuna says:

The worst of all is that, in my specific case, last year "it was voted on and approved" and so they picked it up and I assure you that THEY HAVE NOT COMPLIED WITH IT.

  3. Pau (FR) says:

It looks a lot like the scam on the stamp.
    Let's see,
    a) Planting trees in different streets of Dénia.
Where exactly, which trees and who decides final suitability?
    b) Installation of banks on Campos Street.
A term that does not specify anything, because where? how many? how will they be?
    c) Adaptation of SOME rural roads.
    Which, where and how?
    d) Calisthenics park on the beach (preferably).
But where exactly?…, in Denia, Las Marinas, where Los Angeles or kilometer 14 is the end?
And so we could continue, as always, nothing in particular, everything maybe, it could be, we still don't know if it will be possible and etc.
In my opinion and seeing the projects chosen during previous calls, it is a pantomime because it is impossible to budget for any project without knowing where, when and why.
Furthermore, who counts the votes and assures me of the final veracity of the figures?

    • Julian says:

      It's all smoke.

They vote for something and get paid to manage priorities.

There will be things more important than others, I say. This is vandalizing politics.

    • Fortuna says:

The worst of all is that, in my specific case, last year "it was voted on and approved" and so they picked it up and I assure you that THEY HAVE NOT COMPLIED WITH IT. and "it seems" that this year in that "generic approval" that, as Pau says, nothing is specified. This is not TRANSPARENCY!!, but I didn't expect anything either.

    • Pepa says:

Pau, I totally agree with you, I have a thousand questions at each point. It's like saying...there it is and meanwhile visualize everything at your whim and thus time passes

    • Tina says:

      Completely
