La Xara and Jesus Pobre will not disappear as smaller local authorities

30 December 2013 - 00: 00

There have been many months of struggle and protests since July 2012 in the Cabinet presented the draft bill on local reform, which proposed the abolition of all local children of the country.

Now, a year and a half later, and after many protests, a law has been approved that guarantees the permanence of the Minor Local Entities that meet the objectives of budgetary stability, public debt, expenditure rule, that pay their suppliers to the 30 days; those that do not comply will be suppressed.

With this law, local children will be regulated by the Autonomous Communities.

The Valencian Federation of smaller local authorities, which are encompassed La Xara and Jesus Pobre, is satisfied with this win because "the local administration will also reach those population centers separated from the municipal capital, that if it is not under this formula and because of the experience in this regard, this local administration never reaches these nuclei in an equitable way".
