Local Police opens 15º driver training course moped

Today June 22 has been inaugurated in the Llebeig de Dénia school facilities the 15 edition of the Training Course Moped that a year has launched the local police in Denia. From today until next July 20, a total of 41 14 to 16 youth years they will receive theoretical training combined with practical.

Local Police Dénia is one of the few in the country that offers this type of training, an activity that has been developing since 15 years ago by the agent Manuel Moreno Mas, as recalled the principal chief steward of Local Police Jose Martinez Espasa.

During these weeks of learning the students acquire knowledge on regulatory documentation moped and driver, the type of roads and their characteristics, traffic signs, basic maneuvers, speed, mechanical moped and behavior in adverse conditions and to traffic accidents.

As a complement, Carmen Requena Cases member of the Assembly Local Red Cross Dénia, provide a theoretical and practical session first aid, while Pedro Castells Ruano, member of the Provincial Association of Schools of Alicante, will give a talk on withdrawal of driving license points and moped active and passive safety. As in previous editions, this course contributes to Salvador Climent Olmedo, the association of spinal injuries ASPAYM, who will offer a special class within the awareness program. Finally, Juan José Sala Soler, Unit Community Prevention in Addictive Behaviors (UPCCA) Denia City Council will give them a lecture on the effects of alcohol, drugs and medicines on driving.

At the opening of the course, the Councilor for Citizen Security, Javier ScottoHe reminded young people who from now on will "assume a new responsibility that requires compliance with a series of rules and obligations" and he recommended them "use the head and common sense, take advantage of the course and apply what has been learned".
