The MACMA culminates its 20º anniversary with the inauguration of the new headquarters

Things have changed a lot since, in 1997, the Mancomunitat Cultural de la Marina Alta. What began as an entity to unite the cultural identity of the towns of the region has become the true region of the Marina Alta, bringing together not only culture, but also tourism and youth.

The celebrations of the 20th anniversary of MACMA ended last weekend with one of the most anticipated events, the inauguration of the organization's headquarters in Ondara. The headquarters is located on Blasco Ibanez Street and is the first property owned by the agency and which represents a turning point in terms of the achievement and consolidation of a fixed space.

The celebration day was attended by numerous mayors and mayors of the region who then enjoyed a meal during which they were given the symbol that has represented the 20th anniversary: ​​the "C" of culture and region that is the emblem with which the Cultural Commonwealth wants to thank the complicity and effort of the municipalities of the Marina Alta during these two decades of work and joint development.

The mayor of Dénia and president of MACMA, Vicent Grimalt, affirmed that this is "A commemoration, a celebration, to be sung very loudly as it demonstrates the capacity of cohesion of the Marina Alta".

In addition to the mayors of the current legislature, the former MACMA presidents received special recognition. From the first president, Pepa Gasquet, through Salvador Sendra, Jaume Fullana, Paloma Granados, Alejandro Pastor and Antoni-Joan Bertomeu. Charges that made an assessment on the anniversary and precedents that have marked a celebration that strengthens the future of the entity.
