The MACMA calls a competition for the professionals of the illustration of the region

On the occasion of the opening of the new headquarters of the MACMA, in Ondara, from the entity an initiative has been projected so that the illustrators of the Marina Alta decorate one of the walls of the new space. To this end, a specific contest has been called for professionals in the field that aims to become a catalyst to make graphic language visible and at the same time to energize and publicize artists from the world of visual culture who work in the region.

Contest rules

under the motto 'Totes Marines'Illustrate the one who for you is the Marina Alta, the presentation format must be an A2 (59,4 cm x 42 cm). The illustration must be done in two inks, black and salmon - the new corporate color of MACMA. As for the technique, you must allow the correct printing with a plotter on vinyl canvas.

Each participant can present a single proposal printed and mounted on a cardboard or similar, along with a CD with a graphic file of his work JPG or PNG with good resolution 600 ppp (min.) And a sealed envelope that will contain in the personal data and contact of the illustrator or illustrator (name, surnames, ID, mobile phone, email and document accrediting the town of birth and / or habitual residence of the region). The works must be sent, or delivered by hand, at the Headquarters of MACMA -C / Blasco Ibáñez, 50-Bajo, CP 03760, Ondara until Friday 19 of January of 2018 (included).

The winner will receive a prize of 200 € in cash and a batch of MACMA books, as well as the printing on large format vinyl that will be mounted decorating and forming part of the venue until the next edition of the award. From MACMA all the graphic artists of the region are invited to participate in the project to share their idea and visual reflection on what inspires them in the region.
