The Wine Fair Marina Dénia has announced its fourth edition, scheduled for May 24 and 25. This event, which has gained renown in the region, is characterized by offering a wide sample of wines and local food products, attracting both residents and tourists interested in authentic culinary experiences.
One of the main novelties this year is the collaboration with the renowned designer and illustrator Javier Mariscal, who has contributed his talent to the design of the barrel that appears on the event's promotional poster. This piece is on display in Arte en Barrica, at the Hoya de Cadenas Museum of Vicente Gandía, thus enriching the visual proposal of the fair.
In its last edition, the Wine Fair received around 6.000 visitors and had the participation of 21 companies. Gabriel Martínez, captain-director of Marina Dénia, has highlighted the importance of events like this to boost tourism in the area, offering alternatives beyond the traditional sun and beach.
The fair program includes a variety of activities, with opening hours on Friday, May 24, from 12:00 to 14:00 p.m. and from 18:00 p.m. to 22:00 p.m., and on Saturday, May 25, from 11:30 a.m. to 14:00 p.m. :18 a.m. to 00:22 p.m. and from 00:XNUMX p.m. to XNUMX:XNUMX p.m. Admission to the venue will be free and will feature live music to liven up the atmosphere.
For this edition, it has been decided to give greater prominence to the hotel industry of the Marina Alta, with the inclusion of a space dedicated to professionals in the sector to present their wines and products. José Vicente Blasco, manager of Blasco Wineries, has highlighted the relevance of this initiative to promote local gastronomy and the quality of the region's wine products.
The event has the support of the Dénia City Council, Bodegas Vicente Gandía, Bodegas Blasco and the sponsorship of Fine & Country. Vicent Grimalt, mayor of Dénia, has expressed his satisfaction with the positive impact that this event has on tourism promotion, especially in a context that favors the deseasonalization of tourism.
