The CDT of Dénia hosted Wednesday the celebration of the IV Forum Arròs a banda & A banda de l'arròs, a gastronomic event that this year has been starred, as it could not be otherwise, for the Creative City of Gastronomy project of the UNESCO.
Throughout the morning, experts on the regional cuisine shared impressions about this project that has put Dénia on the map of world cuisine. The first roundtable dealt with the history of the project, how it is generated, the actions that are currently being developed and those planned and the process of evolution of what began as an idea and ended up being a reality.
The panel was headed by the Head of Department of Tourism Ajuntament de Dénia, Pepa Cardona, and she participated the mayor of Denia, Vicent Grimalt, The president of AEHTMA, Cristina Sellés, Councilwoman Pepa Font, Who held the Department of Tourism when the application was developed, and Floren Terrades, director of the Office of Innovation and Creativity coordinating the project Denia&Marina Alta Tasting Life.
The second forum of debate brought together entrepreneurs from all over the region and their experiences in the world of gastronomy. Representatives of the City Council of Vall de Gallinera, Bodegas Xaló, Pego Natura, AMMA SL, Restaurant-Coqueria Pont Sec, Hort Obert and Holidays and Experiences.
The IV Arròs a Banda & A Banda de l'Arròs Forum was completed with a fair of regional products that was installed in the CDT lobby. In total, 16 producers of the Marina Alta participated and offered a tasting of their products to those attending the forum.
