The CEO of Functional Diversity of the Department of Equality and Inclusive Policies, Antonio Raya, confirmed Thursday that starting next 1 May the Generalitat Valenciana will subsidize all the squares of the Center for Child Development and Early Care Marina Alta, located in Denia and managed by LUDAI.

The center, which has 35 places for the whole region, had so far with the grant by the Generalitat, only ten of these places, which was seriously jeopardize its continuity since in August 2012 got accreditation as such by the Department.

This news gives a respite to Ludai's team, which last October, and during its annual dinner, demanded it helps all municipalities in the region to move forward with its work. And is that the fact that only ten of the Department subsidize places the delay in payment is added, which came to drown and worry the team.

The news of the total subsidy of the seats of the Child Development and Early Care Center of the Marina Alta was announced at a meeting held with the mayor of Dénia, Vicent Grimalt, and the Councilor for Social Welfare, Cristina Morera, in which they took advantage to move the general manager the motion approved by the full City Council in urging the Government to include in next year's budget line with adequate funding to meet the care needs of the Marina Alta.

New approach to the health area project partner La Pedrera

Antonio Raya confirmed to the dianenses representatives that the new approach of the socio-sanitary area project will be studied to be able to develop it in phases. The new proposal involves the creation of a CRIS (Center for Rehabilitation and Social Integration) for people with chronic mental illness, with capacity for 55 users.

As they say, this project will "relatively agile due to its similarities with the Day Center project originally planned in the socio-health area of ​​La Pedrera", So it only required a few modifications to adapt.

As for the Day Center La Xara, whose bid is already underway, the CEO thinks that could be a reality in mid-2017.

Another projected in La Pedrera Residential services are the Regional Center, which seats 20 or 25 people and a Specific Center for the Mentally Ill (ECMS) with 40 spaces provided. According to Raya's commitment, its feasibility study to incorporate the resource map being developed by the Department of Equality and inclusive policies.
