The Vice Presidency and Ministry of Equality and Inclusive Policies will recognize a compensation of 75.000 euros to each of the sons or daughters of the murdered women victims of sexist violence, regardless of their age and whether or not they had economic dependence on the victim.
The agreement establishes that the sons and daughters will be the first to receive compensation for death, which passes from 6.000 to 75.000 euros in compliance with the agreement of the Pacte Valencià Against the Violence of Gènere i Masclista. An amount that each descendant will receive regardless of whether they are minors or whether or not they have economic dependence on the mother.
In the event that there are no children, it will be the parents of the victim woman who will receive the 75.000 euros of the aid in equal shares; and if they do not live, it will be the woman's brothers or sisters who will receive the compensation.
The agreement establishes that apart from this compensation, in the event that the deceased woman has remade her life with another partner, she will receive a compensation of 26.460 euros, and will always be excluded from any other type of state aid. To receive this amount they must have a minimum of 2 years of coexistence or have had offspring in common.
The announcement was made on Tuesday by the regional secretary of Equality, Alberto Ibáñez, who has chaired the meeting of the technical group of the monitoring committee of Pacte Valencià against the Violence of Genre and Mask.
Equalization with the victims of terrorism
In the same way, he pointed out that, in 2019, equality with victims of terrorism is extended, when the consequence of sexist aggression is absolute permanent incapacity for work (54.000 euros) or a large disability (150.000 euros) and they will be granted also those who are killed or incapacitated for helping a woman who is being assaulted.
Likewise, at 2019, emergency aids for women victims of sexist violence are improved, from 200 to 2.205 euros in the case of those granted to cover basic needs; from 2.000 to 2.940 for hosting; from 500 to 735 euros for transport or travel and from 2.000 to 2.205 for security and protection.
