Red Gamba joins summer courses at UNED

One more year, and it has already been 24, the UNED launches its summer courses, courses with recognized prestige at the state level that each year are reinvented despite the crisis. Raquel Marí, director of the UNED in Dénia, explained that this year a greater local dye has been sought in the courses, with the tutors of the center themselves being the coordinators of the courses and making trips to places such as La Lonja, the CDT, the port , the Real Club Náutico or the Natural Park Montgó.

This year we offer a total of 7 courses that will be developed between the 1 and 5 of July and the 15 and 19 of the same month in the facilities of the UNED (Municipal House of Culture), and that cover topics as varied as the value of youth, human rights, sports as a means of social integration or the Red Shrimp of Dénia.

Precisely the latter is the newest of the offered. Under the title "Natural resources in tourist environments: the red shrimp in Dénia", will analyze the role that a resource like the red shrimp has in the local tourism development from an ecological, economic, social and cultural perspective. The sessions of this course will be held, in addition to the UNED, the CDT and the fish market. In addition, to finish the course, the cook Quique Dacosta will participate in a demonstration of some dishes in the red shrimp from Denia is the protagonist.

This course will be developed between the 1 and the 5 of July, a week in which the courses will also take place "Youth as a value in a changing world", "Culture and human rights: environment, music and cinema before human rights", and "The survival of a myth: The iconography of a sexual nature in Romanesque art".

The second week of courses will be held "What remains to be done regarding gender violence" (from the 15 to the 17 of July); "Sport as a means of social integration" (17 to 19 of July) and "Workshop on English courses in open (mooc) and mobile support (MALL): innovation in the didactic panorama of second languages".

To carry out these courses UNED has had the collaboration of the Department of Culture of the City of Denia, with maintaining an agreement 48.000 euros. Tuition for all of them is already open from the UNED website. The director of the university extension in Denia, Raquel Marí, announced that this year also reduced registration fee normally applies to students at the school will also apply to university students in all schools, over 65 years, large families and unemployed people.
