Railways of the Valencia has completed work for closing station Dénia of Alicante Tram, consisting of the replacement of deteriorated perimeter fence rail installation and construction of a small wall for support. However, running spikes remain pavement and services that will be held in early April.
The poor insulation condition of the station, with the oxidation of existing fence due to the marine environment to which it is exposed, the decision to construct a wall of half a meter high fence to support and separate soil. This new fence, which now measures meter and a half, extending along the 270 linear meters that make up the current installation of FGV.
This work, with an investment of EUR 163.091 has achieved two objectives, firstly increased security in the area and on the other hand has improved aesthetics by eliminating the rusty fence.
This work is part of the actions of improvement and modernization of the 9 Line TRAM Alicante (Benidorm-Denia). This investment program includes improvements in current diesel rolling stock; the renewal of infrastructure and superstructure of track between Altea and Teulada; conditioning and rehabilitation of stations and stopping (Teulada, Gata, Denia, Calpe, Altea and Benidorm pot); and installing new rail safety systems ATP, communication and centralized traffic management.
The planned actions are carried out coinciding with the centenary of this line and will provide greater safety and comfort, optimal rail traffic management and more efficient maintenance. The final objective is to homogenize the railway connection between Benidorm and Denia with the rest of the TRAM lines in Alicante.
