The A21 study the walking routes to school improvements

This year the School Agenda 21 returns to the load, and it does so with the theme of mobility and transport as the basic concepts of the course. The Marist schools, Montgó, Paidos, Pou de la Muntanya, Vessanes, Cervantes, Raquel Payà, Llebeig and Sacred heart, adhered to the program, will work throughout the course with cards and activities related to the subject that involves both teachers and students.

One of the strengths of the course will be sustainable urban mobility, and for it to be performed studies with students taking trips to schools on foot in order to analyze the shortcomings of routes and introduce the necessary improvements.

In April of next year there will be a working meeting in which the conclusions drawn from this study will be analyzed and sent to the departments involved to analyze the actions to be carried out.

With the arrival of good weather in May, a cycling tour through the town of the city through the bike lanes which by then will be created by non-motorized platforms will be made. To finish the course, there will be an exhibition of the work done throughout the year by students.

Acquisition of electric bicycles

The area councilor, Vicente Chelet, Announced that it will also request a grant to the Valencian Energy Agency (AVEN) to purchase electric bicycles for use by staff of the Dianian schools and can move around the town.

The contribution of AVEN is the 50% of the total amount of vehicles and schools will be responsible for maintaining bicycles.
