The mayor of Dénia responds to the municipal opposition that refused to urgently discuss the urban project

The Mayor of Dénia Ana Kringe Has reacted strongly to the refusal of the opposition groups to urgently discuss the information commission on the Structural Plan. Kringe, accompanied by the councilman of Urbanism and spokesman of the municipal group Vicente Chelet, has called the media after the plenary session of this Thursday to face the declarations of the mayoral candidate for the PSPV Vicent Grimalt.

Ana Kringe and Vicente Chelet

The mayor of PP I affirm that "It is the first time in the history of Dénia that opens a process of real and effective citizen participation to elaborate the General Structural Plan. Never before have so many meetings been held with so many social, economic and political groups and for the first time all the voices have been heard and the suggestions of the entire dianense society have been incorporated".

Decree now and decisive in early May

Kringe insisted that "For that reason and to avoid delays that may disrupt the work that has been done I will sign a mayor's decree through which a term of the second public exhibition will be opened" Of the controversial plan. He also reiterated that they "Participate in this process to the entire municipal corporation" And that for that reason they had raised an extraordinary plenary, so that it was not she who signed the decree but was approved in plenary.

The mayor of Denia said that once published on Tuesday the decree in the DOCV there will be twenty working days of exposure to the public. Then all the allegations will have to be answered and in early May, according to municipal government calculations "there will be a plenary session where the document will be approved initially".

The popular official regretted that "certain opposition parties prefer to dynamit the entire public participation process and delay the procedures to a point of no return". He stressed that "It is not that we are in a hurry to approve the plan before the elections, it is worth remembering that in May the environmental information expires and if we do not have an initial approval in progress the process will go to waste. The new corporation will have to start from zero". In this sense, he warned that "In the best case it will take three years to reach the same point where we are today". Kringe insisted on his reply to the opposition and said "What" we are not going to do is delay the process just because there are groups that believe that they are not politically interested in supporting it. "

The lack of documentation and the shopping cart

Chelet, regarding the criticisms received about lack of documentation in the plan, stated that "Our sin may be that the political groups have all the information. On Monday at noon came all that had been modified and on Tuesday they already had" all the material. The head of Urban Planning also wanted to make reference "to the shopping cart" And said it was bought at the time of socialist mayor Paqui Viciano. "It is used to transport records", he claimed. The council eventually asked the opposition groups to "reconsider" And concluded by saying that "it is necessary to" apolitize " The General Structural Plan.
