The Provincial Court of Alicante will begin next week the trial against an individual accused of a crime against public health after being intercepted in the port of Dénia in compromising circumstances. The defendant, arrested on May 3, 2023 by Civil Guard agents, was surprised while trying to board a ferry bound for Ibiza.
During the inspection of the accused's vehicle, the authorities discovered a double bottom installed in the rear seats, where seven packages containing more than two kilograms of cannabis, two kilos of cocaine and nearly one kilo of MDMA were found.
The public prosecution has provisionally requested a sentence of eight years in prison for the individual involved in this case.
