Electoral day in Dénia: everything you need to know to vote for 28M

May 27 from 2023 - 08: 48

This Sunday, the residents of Dénia are called, again, to the polls. Both the City Council and the Generalitat decide on 28M, in another electoral day, but with some novelties.

In the face of possible doubts, we have compiled a series of responses here so that nothing hinders the appointment with democracy:

How many polling stations are there?

There will be 49 tables distributed throughout the term of Dénia, two of them in La Xara and one in Jesús Pobre.

Are they still in the same location?

Most of the polling stations in Dénia repeat their location. However, it must be borne in mind that a polling station in Dénia has changed this 2023. It is the one that until now has been occupying the train station. Due to the resumption of the service, now the ballot boxes that were previously placed there will be transferred to the Social Center (Calle Calderón, 4).

What time can you vote?

The polling stations will open their doors at 09:00, and will remain open until 20:00.

Where I vote?

To find out where to vote on 28M, all you have to do is fill out a simple form at the website of the National Institute of Statistics. In it you must fill in the boxes indicating where you live and the initial of the first surname. The search engine will quickly tell you, among the 49 polling stations that Dénia has, which one is yours. It must be taken into account when searching for the street that it must be in capital letters and without accent marks, as it is causing problems when symbols are added.

How many people vote in Dénia?

According to the electoral census, in the municipality of Dénia, 28 people will be able to vote on May 29.431, a little more, 29.803, in the case of the autonomous ones.

Do I have to wear a mask?

It seems like a thing of the past, but a number of voters will still have to put on a mask to vote. This is what those who have to cast their vote in one of the areas on which the greatest sanitary restrictions still fall have to do. The schools affected by the regulations in Dénia are the Hospital de la Pedrera, the Santa Llúcia Residence and the Joan Fuster Health Center. However, there will be masks available to all those clueless people who forget to bring their own.
