Boscá Joaquín Bautista will be awarded next September 11 during the "XI Ciutat de Dénia Guitar Days" organized by the Nova Companyia de Guitarres collaboration with the Department of Culture of the City Dianense. With this award we want to recognize the work of outreach, teaching and interpretation of the instrument carried out by Boscá, retired professor of classical guitar concert, based in Dénia since late the years 60.
The announcement was made by the president of the Companyia Nova de Guitarres Denia, Celso Crespo and artistic director of the association, Pepe Ortolá, during the presentation of programming these days by the councilman of Culture, Rafa Carrió.
Three styles will center the concerts of these "XI Gitarrentage", held from September 9 to 11, in the auditorium of the Dénia Social Center. On Wednesday, September 9, the Nova Companyia de Guitarres will offer a pop music concert from the 60s and 70s, dedicated to Italian compositions. The ticket price is 8 euros and includes the delivery of a group CD.
Classical guitar concert will star the day 10, hand guitarist Fernando Espí. Born in Xixona (Alicante), Espí conducted his studies at the Conservatory of Alicante. In the concert given in the days of Dénia, Fernando Espí address the romantic guitar, explained Celso Crespo, performing works by Albeniz, Granados, Tarrega and own compositions.
Journey for the flamenco guitar
The 11 day, after recognition and the award-a figure forging created especially for the event by Federico and Jaime neck teacher Boscá artists, will perform flamenco guitarist Antonio Muñoz Fernández, accompanied by a box guitar, vocals , palms and electric bass.
Antonio Muñoz Fernández, born in La Unión (Murcia), is the grandson of guitarist Antonio Fernández and son of the singer Encarnación Fernández. Under his belt he has the prestigious prize "Bordon Minero", highest award in the guitar modality of the International Festival of Cante de las Minas de La Unión.
