The music Garage, Surf, Soul, R&B and Rock & Roll returns this Saturday, July 7, to Jesús Pobre, in celebration of the III Tiki Party.
The festival faces this year as the year of its consolidation in the music scene of the Marina Alta, with a notable jump in ambition in the program, with up to five bands and five DJs on stage throughout the day, which also as a novelty will begin at noon, lasting until night, and all this while maintaining the festival's free status.
The core of the proposal is made up of four Valencian bands: starting with the garage and the unbridled rock and roll of Pogüey Romero y The bloodsuckers; going through the garagero and primitive punk of Los Glurps; even the 60's surf and pop touch The Slip-Resistant. In addition to these, and as a nod to the local scene, round the poster Dr. Xtrangelove, formation integrated by ancient components of the legendary Dianense band Pill X. And as a climax, the festival has as a guest star at a national level the people of Zaragoza The volcanoes, the new formation of members of The Faith Keepers, that was one of the leading bands of black music in the Spanish State.
DJs complete the music agenda. In addition to the regulars of the scene, such as Pere Vegara, Stompin Joe or Big Bird, the III Tiki Party will feature Paco Pain and Mike, from Galaxy Radio, as a special addition to the program to liven up the morning, afternoon and evening of the 7 in July. The organizing collective also announces other novelties: that for the first time they will have promotional t-shirts and badges from the festival and confirms the presence of food service by the already classic Giovanni de Giopizza.
