The Port Advisory Board of the Port of Dénia celebrates the IV edition of the educational project "Get to know the Port of Dénia". All port companies participate in the project and it has the support of the Department of Education of the Dénia City Council and Mundo Marino.
In this fourth edition, which will take place from April 15 to 19, in the morning, 295 ESO and Vocational Training students from six schools in Dénia, IES Sorts de la Mar, IES Historiador Chabas, Colegio Alfa & Omega will participate. and the Raquel Payá Special Education School. The objective of this project is for young people to get to know the Port of Dénia, as well as the opportunities and job opportunities it has. As in previous editions, each student will be given a catalog with information on all the companies and entities that make up the Port of Dénia.
Throughout the week the students will take a tour of the facilities to see the activity generated by the port. They will know the tourist part of Marina Dénia, the sports facet of the Club Náutico de Dénia, the dry marina of Náutica Noguera, in the Fishermen's Association they will be informed about the importance of fishermen, in Marina El Portet there will be a practice of how a boat enters the port, They will know the facilities of Balearia and in Varadero Port Dénia the maintenance functions of the boats.
In addition, once again this year, they will have the opportunity to sail aboard the Mundo Marino catamaran. And, among the novelties of this edition, the participation of the Naval Command stands out, which will give talks to the students about the possibilities of access to the Navy and they will also be able to discover how the crew works on the ship that the oceanic navigator, Alex Pella , is moored in front of the Sea Museum.
