Dénia Hospital hosts a day on gynecology and obstetrics

Professionals from the field of gynecology and obstetrics have participated this Wednesday in the second day organized by the Department of Health of Dénia that has served to share and update knowledge in the field of assisted reproduction as well as to expose different oral communications.

The presentation of the day was given by the Chief of the Gynecology and Obstetrics Service of the Department of Health of Dénia, Pedro Clemente; the vice president of the College of Nursing of Alicante, Monserrat Angulo; the supervisor of Midwives of the Department of Health of Dénia, Silvia Crespo; and the Coordinator of Training, Research and Teaching, Carmen Bohigues.

In the first place, a round table on assisted reproduction has been held, which has been moderated by Eugenia Romaguera, an obstetrician of the Department of Health of Denia. It has addressed the evolution of reproductive medicine, psycho-emotional aspects, concerns and needs of pregnant women after the application of this technique.

The second round table has focused on issues such as breastfeeding, optimization of the blood supply in the operating room, female genital cutting or the system for monitoring postsectal infection. There has also been time to make an update on immediate newborn care. This second part has been led by Anna Magraner, matron of the Pedreguer Health Center.
