La III Fira Marina Alta Amb Els Cinc Sentits. L'Aroma, els nostres vins has been a clear example of what a united region can achieve. Last weekend, the Prado de Ondara site hosted this traditional event that brought together all the wineries of the Marina Alta and thousands of people who did not miss the opportunity to discover and taste the wines that are so close.

The central part of Prado offered a showcase for the producers of the Marina: Fondarium Winery, Joan de la Casa, Teulada Winery-Cooperativa Agrícola San Vicente Ferrer, Briga de Xoc, Essèncias de Muscat, Les Freses de Jesús Pobre, Gutiérrez de la Vega , Parcent Wineries, Bodegas Xaló, Aguilar Winery, and Biomuscatell. All of them showed the public their products, and offered tastings.

In addition, the following municipalities, institutions, and associations of the guild participated in the Prado stand: Els Poblets, El Poble Nou de Benitatxell, Dénia, Beniarbeig, Pedreguer, Ondara, Teulada Moraira, Pego i les Valls, Gata de Gorgos, Xàbia, The Verger, Castell de Castells, Vall de Pop, Retoria; Cedma, Aehtma, Jovempa, Association of Defenders of Moscatell of the High Marina, Bancals de Vi and Iecma.

The Mayor and head of the Tourism and Economic Promotion area of ​​Ondara, José Ramiro, has made a very positive assessment of the III Marina Alta Fair; "One more experience that adds to the proposal of the five senses initiated last year with taste, and which has now had continuity with the aroma".

In this sense, he stressed, "the Macma immediately thought of the wine produced in our region; in addition, the stands of the municipalities and groups that have participated, have led to the Fair evocations of the aromas of the region; sausage, gastronomy, aromatic plants, mountains ... ".

He has also emphasized the signing of the Manifest pel Vi, which serves "to value ours; our wine is very good, and we have to believe it to be able to project it. It is a first step to put measures in order to exploit that quality."

MACMA Forum

The forum coordinated by the MACMA began on Saturday, after the inauguration of the Fira, with the interventions of the President of Macma, Vicent Grimalt, and the manager of the Macma, Jovi Lozano-Seser; the introduction by the renowned Valencian winemaker Joan C. Martí (author of the guide Super Wines); the presentations of the wineries and participating producers (they took the stage, representing wineries and producers: Paqui Oller de Bodega Teulada-Cooperativa Agrícola San Vicente Ferrer; Tonet Puig de Xoc Briga; Biomoscatell; Armando Francés de Parcent Wineries; Jordi Femenia de Gutiérrez de la Vega; Javier Doménech of Fondarium; Ximo Gayà of Bodega Xaló; Joan Pastor of Joan de Casa and Mara bathed Les Freses) and the projection of an audiovisual.

The manifesto for wine is a document in which the 3.000 years of harvest are claimed in the Marina Alta, and which serves as a declaration of intentions to capture the attention and demand of consumers and especially of restaurateurs, applying a series measures to increase the consumption of wine produced in the region; For this, the edited catalog will also be disseminated Tasting els vins de la Marina.

Other activities

The festivities of Soledad 2018 also participated with their stand outside El Prado. This first weekend of the XXXII Fira de Fires de Ondara has also had the Amusement Fair, making Ondara the epicenter of entertainment in the region.
