Alex Sirerol Returned home, the same that saw him grow for two years in motorcycling, and did not disappoint. The FIM CEV Repsol has once again been the scene of another great race for the Cardelus-BST team's driver in what can be considered a good start to the season considering that it is his first year with an 600cc bike.
This test, in which he participated with a Stock 600 (subcategory that runs within the category of Moto2), arrived without any pressure and willing to learn everything possible from which he himself defined as "great drivers." He did and the conclusions drawn are more than good.
The first tests already indicated that the weekend race was going well for him. It was ranked twenty third in the overall Moto2 as second bike Stock 600. In the combined qualifiers he failed to improve their times and although 26º positioned for the grill, kept the second place in the subcategory of 600.
On Sunday in the race things went very well, although a red flag with four laps to go prevented them from being even better. Sirerol rolled with his Kawasaki to a step of the positions of points and entered to goal in the position 19, to little less than half a second of the pilot that preceded him (Oscar Climent). In turn, he completed this participation as third motorcycle Stock 600 behind the leader of the category, Ferrán Casas (11º) and the second classified, Bertin Thibaut (17º).
The Dianense rider commented after the races, "it has been a very fun weekend in which I have enjoyed and learned a lot. In the end we have achieved a third position in Stock600 and an 19º in the general Moto2, which is very good, but the red flag prevented me from advancing further. It has also been very positive because I have adapted more to the motorcycle and I have been able to learn from great riders. We are looking forward to arriving in Alcañiz to compete again but not before thanking my sponsors , the team and all the people who support me. "
